The Ministry of the Interior began with the installation of the OSE water tanks that will serve to supply drinking water to those deprived of liberty in Unit 4 of Santiago Vázquez (Ex Comcar).

Each of the tanks has a capacity of 2,000 liters and the OSE will supply drinking water to these tanks on a daily basis. that will be strategically located to provide water for both food preparation and drinking to persons deprived of their liberty”, reported the director of the National Rehabilitation Institute (INR), Luis Mendoza.

In the case of Unit 4, the tanks will be supplied from a semi-surgent well that was in disuse, Mendoza explained.

In that unit there are 4,729 people who are deprived of liberty and a total of 12 tanks will be installed in the unit. “Each module has its tank,” said the hierarch.
