The allegation of non-compliance with a fundamental precept was filed with the STF by the Rede Sustentabilidade party, today (21). The party asks for an injunction to be granted with the suspension of the president’s decree and subsequent analysis of the case by the plenary of the Supreme Court.
This Wednesday (20), Silveira was sentenced by the STF to eight years and nine months in prison, in addition to a fine, for the crimes of attempting to prevent the free exercise of Powers and coercion in the course of the process.
The Court judged a criminal action opened in April of last year against the congressman, who became a defendant and began to respond to the criminal process for the accusation of inciting the invasion of the Court and suggesting physical aggression to the ministers. The facts took place in 2020 and 2021, through social media. Silveira was arrested for his conduct, but was later released.
