The Minister of Transport and Communications, Nicholas Bustamante Coronado, assured that its management will be governed by an open door policy and wide transparency in each of its activities. For this reason, he considered that the participation of the Comptroller General of the Republic must be rigorous and permanently vigilant in all processes of acquisitions, adjudications and tenders of the MTC.
Likewise, the minister asked public officials and servants to comply with and abide by, under legal responsibility, all the rules of administrative transparency, for this reason he ordered that the deputy ministers and senior officials of the sector comply with and enforce the established rules.
Regarding the actions of the Comptroller’s Office, Bustamante Coronado remarked that he has ordered that he be given all the facilities for the strict fulfillment of his control and inspection functions, “Our policy is one of total transparency and open doors,” said the head of the sector.
Preventive and concurrent controls
In addition, the minister requested the active participation of the congressional commissions for Transportation and Communications and Control, in order to strengthen and be part of the transparent accountability actions.
Finally, the head of the MTC promised that constant dialogue will be a main guideline for the prevention and solution of problems that affect the transport and communications sector.
