The Minister of Social Development, Giorgio Jackson, sent this Tuesday – to the review commission of the constitutional accusation against him – his objections to the accusatory libel. Likewise, it maintained that “the accusers incorrectly interpret the rules on administrative probity to which they allude and, for this reason, reach erroneous conclusions. There has been no violation of such rules.”
“As has already been demonstrated, a simple order given to a junior official regarding a matter in which the head of service or another official has clear powers implies a legal exercise of the assigned tasks and functions and cannot be considered reprehensible,” he added. .
He also insisted that “there was no undue pressure on Ms. Patricia Hidalgo.”
