Evolution of the minimum wage
Throughout history, the current presidents increased the RMV for a better life for Peruvians. The remuneration was not always S / 930, as it will be until April 30 of this year. Below is its evolution over time.

October 1, 2007: In the government of Alan García, Supreme Decree No. 022-2007-TR indicated that the minimum salary in Peru would be S/ 550, but that it would be given in two installments: S/ 30 more in October until reaching S/ 530, and only in January 2008 would it reach the sum of S/ 550.
December 1, 2010: Even in the García government, Supreme Decree No. 011-2010-TR provided that the increase in the Minimum Vital Remuneration would reach S/ 600 in two parts, the first of S/ 580 and a second in February 2011.

June 1, 2012: A year after starting his mandate, Humala ruled, through Supreme Decree No. 007-2012-TR, that the RMV would be S/ 750.
March 30, 2016: In that year, the minimum wage was made official by Supreme Decree No. 005-2016-TR at S/ 850. The new amount came into force on May 1.
