The official reported yesterday that the ministry intends to move forward with the new scale of incentiveswhich consists of a salary increase of 17% to 32% for teachers who obtain results of 70 points or more.
In previous evaluations, teachers with scores of 60 to 69 fell into the improvable category and received a 17% increase, something they seek to eradicate at this stage.
A provision that the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP) opposed, since it sought to maintain the previous scale, in which teachers with scores of 60 and above received incentives.
The vice minister pointed out that in this process they will be evaluating about 120 thousand teachers, including teachers, pedagogical coordinators, center directors, school counselors, school psychologists, ICT facilitators, teacher librarians, teaching secretaries of educational centers, teaching coordinators and teaching technicians. . He also said that teachers who do not pass the EDD will be integrated into a professional development plan to improve the quality of their practice.
Assessment
