The Minister of Energy and Mines, Eduardo González Toro said that next week his office will meet with businessmen from Russia and Egypt who are interested in investing in projects in the country.
“On Monday (January 31) we have a meeting with investors from Russia who want to enter the Peruvian jungle. Some Egyptian investors will also come”, the minister indicated this Thursday during the conference on the 2021 management balance and the perspectives of its sectors for the year 2022.
He added that companies interested in investing in hydrocarbons in Peru will be sought. “Capital welcome, investment welcome. We are only exploiting three of the 14 basins that we have. There is a wide range of investments that can come“, He said.

Likewise, González stated that this year they hope to respond to the 70 requests for mining and energy projects that have been in their sector for seven years, so that they can begin with investments.
“We have already taken action on the matter and we hope this year to complete all those requests that have been in the ministry for more than seven years. They are seven years with paralyzed investment”, he asserted.
