Militants point out anomalies in the voting of several states

Militants of the Morena party in Chiapas destroyed ballot boxes and burned ballots for the vote to elect district councilors in the municipalities of Tenejapa and Huehuetán, belonging to districts five and 13, respectively, party sources reported.

They said that voting was suspended in both places, although in the case of Tenejapa it was an alternate seat, since the district seat is located in San Cristóbal de Las Casas. In the case of Huehuetán, it is the head of the district.

The arguments of the people who destroyed the material was the disorganization of the elections, since the order of arrival was not respected and they also denounced the carrying of participants.

In Puebla, the burning of ballots in the municipality of Tehuacán, the second most important in the state after the capital of Puebla, was -expressed militants- in protest at the buying of votes that was detected in the La Huizachera sports unit; the election was suspended in that area.

The hauling and buying of votes was coordinated by various mayors, among them the mayor of the mountain municipality of Teziutlán, the former PRI member and now Morenoite Carlos Peredo Grau, as well as alleged officials of the Welfare Secretariat, denounced citizens on social networks.

In Zacatecas, the election was held amid complaints and accusations of the mass transport of voters aboard buses, and the alleged purchase of votes, in at least three of the 10 main voting centers, located in the cities of Fresnillo, Zacatecas and Guadalupe.

The morenista deputy Priscila Benítez blamed Verónica Díaz – sister-in-law of Governor David Monreal Ávila and current coordinator of federal delegates in Zacatecas – for operate the party’s internal election, to favor candidates related to Monrealism, including Sergio Garfias, husband of Catalina Monreal Pérez, daughter of Senator Ricardo Monreal Ávila.

Attempts of violence

In Tabasco, in the election of delegates in the municipalities of Cárdenas, Cunduacán and Paraíso, militants staged attempts at violence between accusations of buying votes and carrying them to the receiving centers, according to videos broadcast on social networks.

In Cárdenas, supporters of candidate Oscari Solís Brito reported theft of ballot boxes by supporters of local deputy Euclides Alejandro. In Paraíso, accusations multiplied that a group of people was marking ballots in favor of a single ticket, headed by federal legislator Marcos Rosendo Medina Filigrana in district five.

In Guerrero, militants denounced that in the old style of the PRI, with voter hauling, delivery of resources and breakfasts, among other benefits, thousands of Morena supporters came to join or ratify their militancy, and to elect their advisors in Chilpancingo.

It was reported that Juan Valenzo, a councilor in the state capital, was surprised by reporters when he handed out food vouchers to several older adults outside his house, on the condition that they vote for him, and by Mayor Norma Otilia Hernández Martínez, in the election of district councillors.

In Acapulco, the disorganization, disinformation and distribution of money were claimed, as well as an outbreak of a fight, in the Papagayo park, by voters who entered the ranks by force.

In Veracruz, citizens accused the transport of supporters in buses with the legend Special. In the capital, dozens of trucks were seen – coming from different parts of the entity – parked on various streets in the city center. State government bureaucrats denounced that they were forced to pay.

Another incident was the arrest of the local deputy Jessica Ramírez Cisneros, accused of causing damage and a mess on the day of the election of district councilors of Morena.

In Baja California, it was reported that a vehicle was intentionally set on fire on the Tecate-Ensenada highway and the closure of the Transpeninsular highway, at the height of Camalú in San Quintín. Likewise, citizens pointed out that some 300 buses were used to transport voters, especially in districts three of Ensenada and seven in Mexicali.

In Michoacán, militants indicated that the polling places were installed after 9:30 a.m., and at noon a significant influx of people was reported. While in social networks there were reports of buying votes of between 100 and 300 pesos in Morelia.

In the capital of Oaxaca, it was possible to observe that in the boxes of El Llano park, in district eight, more than a dozen trucks were used to transport people, which were parked in the surroundings of this site.

In Tamaulipas, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Tlaxcala and Campeche the process was carried out without setbacks.
