A group of supporters of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner held this Sunday a symbolic celebration in the Plaza de Mayo for the 70th birthday of the former presidentwho received multiple greetings on social media throughout the day.
The militants approached the Plaza de Mayo between 11 and 13, where they held the festivities and displayed posters and a banner reading the slogan “fight and Cristina returns 2023” in front of the Casa Rosada.
The objective was to “greet and support the vice president, regarding the persecution she is suffering,” several militants told this agency, alluding to the disqualification from holding public office that Fernández de Kirchner received in the trial of the so-called Road case.

The same way, Other protesters told Télam that the celebration in Plaza de Mayo arose from the idea of ”a group of neighbors who wanted to greet Cristina” and express their good wishes.
“The people and Cristina have a single feeling”, “Cristina complies” and “You are our hope” were some of the messages that were read on the banners of those who approached the square.
As told to Télam, Plaza de Mayo “is the right place to express gratitude to Cristina for the social achievements during her presidencies because it is the symbolic center of Argentina’s political life.”
After singing Happy Birthday to the rhythm of the Peronist march, the militants gathered around a cake with a photo of Cristina Fernández, dressed in light blue and white. -referring to the Argentine flag-, along with the legend “Happy Birthday, Cristina 2023”.
At the end of the song, everyone blew out the candles for the Vice President’s 70th birthday.
