Mides and private provider sign agreements on mental health and job vacancies

One of the agreements will allow beneficiaries of the Calle program, of the Ministry of Social Development (Mides), to carry out 12 weekly mental health consultations with Casmu professionals. The second will make it possible for 30% of the provider’s vacant jobs to be allocated to users of portfolio plans. “They represent the course that was planned to travel, autonomy and attention,” said the head of Mides, Martín Lema

The act of signing the documents, this Monday the 13th at the ministerial headquarters, was also attended by the undersecretary of the portfolio, Andrea Brugman, and the president and general secretary of Casmu, Raúl Rodríguez and Juan José Arosa, respectively.

Lema stressed that the agreement for the so-called “Mides quota” generates job opportunities that allow the autonomy of the beneficiaries. Regarding the agreement for medical assistance in mental health, he indicated that it is important, in the short term, for the course of the Inverno Plan and, in the long term, to address the causes of these situations.

Agreement for mental health care

Through this agreement, the health institution provides assistance in this aspect to people included in the Calle program. The attention will be carried out twice a week by psychiatrists or psychologists, in Mides centers. The days and times will be coordinated between the parties, up to 12 people per week will be attended and the quota may be increased. It is free and does not imply an outlay for the portfolio.

Agreement for job positions

Through the second agreement, the participation of candidates presented by the Secretary of State is enabled, for the “Mides quota”, in the selection processes aimed at covering 30% of the vacant jobs in Casmu. The purpose of this initiative is to give them an opportunity for formal employment. It is also free of charge and does not generate expenses for the Executive.
