MIDA provides legal status to producers in Veraguas

Three producer associations from Veraguas received their legal status from the Minister of Agricultural Development, Augusto Valderrama, during a work tour that took place in that province.

The Association of Producers that makes Resilient Agriculture, whose president is Irving Pérez; The Association of Milk and Meat Producers, led by Manuel Pérez, and the Peasant Settlement Urracá #1, led by Manuel Carrera, were the organizations that received these awards.

The head of the MIDA said that the producers have not made a mistake in defending national production and that together with the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, who has raised a fight against the sixth frontier of hunger and inequality, a great effort in producing food, which guarantees peace and the construction of this country.

He said that after 28 months of pandemic and 4 months of war, which have disrupted agri-food processes, Panama has not lacked food, for which he thanked the producers for their dedication and work.
