Mexico registers 2,845 new cases of Covid-19 and 251 deaths

The Health Secretary (Ssa) updated this Saturday, December 4, to 3 million 900,293 the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Mexico so far in the pandemic. The official death toll rose to 295,154, according to the daily technical report.

Compared with the data that were presented yesterday by the health authorities, these figures mean that there were increases of 2,845 cases and 251 deaths.

Regarding active cases (those that presented symptoms in the most recent 14 days and are still contagious), the report confirms 20,089 with an incidence rate of 15.6 in 100,000 inhabitants. 21,415 active cases are estimated in Mexico.

The entities with the highest incidence rates in the country are Baja California, Sonora, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Mexico City, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Durango and San Luis Potosí, in that order, according to official figures.
