A gunman traveling on a motorcycle shot and killed the local deputy of the Progresa Party, Gabriela Marín Sánchez, on Wednesday when she was in the parking lot of a pharmacy located next to Poder Legislativo avenue, in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
According to preliminary police versions, the perpetrator was traveling on a white motorcycle and until now, police forces and military elements have carried out a strong mobilization in the northern part of the state in search of the murderer.
The governor lamented the murder and condemned “the cowardly murder of local deputy Gabriela Marín. The security operation has been deployed in order to find those responsible. In Morelos we are not going to allow attacks that harm our society. We are with family and friends of the legislator, ”she wrote on his social networks.
