Metro de Panama begins the process of recovering pedestrian areas in its stations

On the morning of this Monday, June 5, the Panama Metro began an operation in conjunction with personnel from the Municipality of Panama, the Ministry of Health, Immigration and the National Police, in order to recover the spaces in the pedestrian areas of the different stations. in different points of the capital city and San Miguelito.

This operation is carried out due to the number of people who carry out informal economic activities and have placed their sales stalls in the pedestrian areas of the stations, interrupting the free movement of people who use the Metro on a daily basis.

On the route in the stations at the Metro exits in San Miguelito, Pan de Azúcar, December 24 and May 5 are where this situation of informal activity occurs most, both by Panamanians and foreigners.
