The General Directorate of the National Police announced the Activation from tonight of an operation against robbery, which includes the increase in preventive patrols and intelligence work in all the commercial arteries of the previous country, during and after the celebration of “Black Friday” (Black Friday).

This was reported by Colonel Diego Pesqueira, director of Strategic Communications of the institution, who said that security actions will have the support of members of the Armed Forces and other State security agencies, in order to guarantee peace of mind. of buyers during that trading day.
“By instructions from our director, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, for tonight, tomorrow and the whole weekend, a great operation against robbery will be mounted throughout the national territory and in a focused manner in the main squares and commercial arteries. and any type of crime, since tomorrow the usual Black Friday will be celebrated throughout the National territory”, indicated Colonel Pesqueira.
The Police spokesman explained that the main objective of these focused operations is so that “you and the Dominican family can go out to shop and take advantage of the different specials in a safe way.”
Similarly, Major General Alberto Then ordered that coordinated operations be carried out between preventive patrols and the Intelligence (DINTEL) and Investigation (DICRIM) directorates.

The General Directorate of Security of Traffic and Ground Transportation (DIGESETT) will have the responsibility of preventing the occurrence of traffic accidents and keeping the vehicular flow controlled during the movement of citizens to the shopping centers to make their purchases and back to their respective homes.
