Merca Panama does not face any shortage situation

The head of Operations of Merca Panama, Kevin Vigil, in an interview with Radio Panama assured that they do not face any situation due to food shortages, after information that was given by the closure that occurred in Chiriquí, specifically in Tierras Altas.

“We kept inventory together with the tenants in the cold rooms in case situations like these occur and in part I contribute to maintaining prices and not having a shortage as such,” Vigil stressed.

He also explained that the trucks from the sector where the road was closed began to arrive last night at Merca Panama “the trucks arrived at approximately 7 pm on Thursday from the highlands and today Friday is a regular day for receiving agricultural cargo ».
