The United States ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar, yesterday thanked President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for the dialogue they held on Thursday on energy matters.

In a message in English posted on Twitter, the ambassador described the meeting at the National Palace as very good and candidwhich can be translated as very good and sincere.

The ambassador also broadcast his message in Spanish, where he said that the meeting was very good and candid.

“Thanks to the President @lopezobrador_ ya my friend @ClimateEnvoy Kerry for a very good and candid meeting on clean energy. Important conversations with US companies that invest in Mexico”.

On Thursday, López Obrador received Salazar and Joe Biden’s envoy for the climate, John Kerry, who raised with him that the reform could imply breaches of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC) and puts billions of dollars of potential investment at risk.
