The minister advocated for the promotion of culture as a global public good and a transcendental human right as a priority.
Through a video presentation, the Deputy Director of Culture of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), Ernesto Renato Ottone, urged the G77 plus China to join the idea of establishing a goal dedicated to culture as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
For his part, the director of the Center for Cultural Heritage, Lazare Assomo, called attention to the social and economic precariousness left by the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it caused on the financing of the culture sector, adds the report. .
He also referred to the importance of creativity and the promotion of artistic manifestations as a source of resilience and solidarity. He also stressed the importance of sustainable development.

PL highlights that among the topics on the agenda have been culture as a global public good, as well as South-South cooperation mechanisms and alternatives for sustainable development.
At another time, the social and economic dimension of culture was exchanged, as well as the role of creative economies and cultural industries in developing countries.
The third point of the program addressed the integral management of cultural heritage and the contribution of tourism dedicated to this sector in the sustainable development of the less advanced nations, the newspaper specifies.
The adoption of a final declaration oriented towards concrete actions to promote culture and its link with multilateralism, one of the priorities of the United Nations Organization (UN) on this issue, is expected from this meeting.
