A garage mechanic is crushed to death by the bed of a truck he was repairing. The event occurred in the vicinity of km 22 of the Duarte highway, La Güayiga, in the municipality of Pedro Brand in the Santo Domingo province.
It is about a worker who was in a mechanical workshop repairing a truck. Apparently the hydraulic system of the bed failed, which fell on him, crushing him and causing his death.
Workers realizing the event tried to assist the young mechanic, but nothing could be done to save his life. The corpse is in the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for autopsy purposes.
The victim responded to the name of Víctor alias “El pollero”, who tragically lost his life yesterday afternoon while carrying out repair work, and he was crushed with his bed.
The young mechanic died of severe head trauma, caused by the blow he received while he was under the bed of the truck.
