A total of 84 of the 99 mayors, together with their councilors, from the populated centers of the Huancavelica province received their credentials as authorities in a crowded ceremony held in the SUM room of the Huancavelica Municipality.
Luis Lázaro Osnayo, responsible for the elections of populated centers, informed that they will recently prepare directives and management documents so that they can work normally and carry out their efforts.

He also announced that they managed to increase their budget, in addition to having a diet, instead of salary, for mayors who achieve their goals.
Said diet will be proportional to the salary of the mayor of the province or district in which they are located.

“They have managed to increase the budget that they have, likewise, a diet, only for the mayors, who little by little are achieving their objectives,” said Lázaro Osnayo.
He noted: “This diet corresponds to the district in which they are, for example, in Huancavelica the mayor is with 1,800, that diet would correspond to those of Huancavelica, on the other hand, in the districts it would be according to what the mayors of each district.
The mandate of the new mayors of populated centers will last four years, that is, they will be from next January 1 until 2026.
