Mayor of Semprúm dies after road accident in Guarenas

At the end of the afternoon this Thursday there was an accident on the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho highway. According to the report of the Bolivarian National Police, there was a vehicle collision allegedly caused by a truck that was traveling without brakes.

the zulian environment @NewsAlDía reported through his twitter account that the mayor in charge of the municipality Jesús María Semprúm of Zulia state died in the road accident.
“This Thursday afternoon, July 20, Wuyhsmans González, mayor in charge of the Jesús María Semprúm municipality, died in a traffic accident on the way to Guatire, reported journalist Leonor Arguelles.”

The heavy cargo transport collided with 11 vehicles before falling down a ravine at the height of the Araguaney sector, in the Caracas – Guarenas direction, adjacent to ZODI Miranda.
The police report indicates that there are a total of 2 people dead and 14 injured, including a minor.

Commissions from the Bolivarian National Guard, the Bolivarian National Police, the Miranda State Fire Department, Miranda Civil Protection, the Brigade for Road Restoration and Emergency Assistance addressed the site.

The wounded were taken to the Dr. Domingo Luciani Hospital in El Llanito. The accident caused the total closure of the important land communication route at rush hour, generating traffic and delaying those who were going to their homes at that time.
