Mayor of Santo Domingo Oeste and businessmen inaugurate fire station

The Santo Domingo West Mayor’s Office and the companies of Haina Logistics Corridor (CLH) inaugurated the fourth fire station of the municipality at kilometer 13 of the Sanchez roadwhich will serve residents and businesses in the vicinity.

The new station is located at Sanchez roadclose to the toll station. He is 24 firefighters on duty specialized in rescue and handling of hazardous materials to assist in an adequate and comprehensive manner, while reducing the response time to emergencies.

Among the sectors that would benefit are: the 12 and 13 of HainaThe Cafe, Puerto Rio Hainathe kilometers and a large part of the sectors of the municipality of HainaSan Cristóbal province, in addition to the companies installed in the area.

The cost of the work is around eight million pesos donated by the CLH companies, among these: HIT Puerto Río HainaDominican Antillean, Alta Copa, Caribetrans, DPH, Dragados del Caribe, ET Heinsen, Equiport, Falcondo, Fersan, Global Storage, Haina Bonded Warehouse, Interquimica SA, Levapán, Mardom, Rannik, Rodemsa, Seadom and Schad.

The works began ten months ago and this Thursday the firefighters they received a modern and comfortable structure, fully equipped.

The mayor of Santo Domingo Oeste said that they are now better prepared to respond to any eventuality in the area. He explained that apart from the central headquarters, this is the third station. He indicated that there is a project to build another three stations.

“This station was a necessity for the sectors and companies located in the vicinity of the eastern part of the Port of Haina and we are already making it a reality to face any contingency that occurs in the area,” he explained.

Erik Alma, CEO of HIT Puerto Río, spoke on behalf of the corridor companies. Hainawho highlighted the importance of contributing to initiatives that contribute to the welfare and safety of the population.
