The mayor of the Libertador municipality of Caracas, A/J Carmen Meléndez, insisted that, in order to keep the capital city beautiful and clean, passers-by and inhabitants must join and guarantee the execution of the special solid waste collection plan promoted by the Mayor’s Office, and which will start this week with the activation of the technical tables.

He also pointed out that this maintenance and cleaning plan is part of the third phase of the recovery of Caracas. In this sense, he indicated that the more than 40 entities of the Venezuelan State that supported the recovery of the city now appear as sponsors of the different squares, boulevards, streets and main avenues of the Caracas city to ensure the maintenance of the recovered spaces. .
The mayor asserted that the plan was born to guarantee the cleanliness and conservation of the spaces that were restored and also seeks to promote a sense of belonging in the communities of Caracas.
“We want to internalize in the citizens the new face of Caracas, a new conscience to protect all the city; and that we keep the recovered spaces clean and beautiful and that they be preserved over time”, emphasized the Admiral.

On the other hand, he assured that the Mayor’s Office of Caracas remains active and on alert to attend to the contingencies that are generated by the continuous rains that occur in the country.
Finally, the mayor Carmen Meléndez stressed that the preventive maintenance carried out by the Mayor’s Office, together with the Governor’s Office of the Capital District, has managed to mitigate the damage that the rains could cause.
