Roberto Terán was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of the murder of his partner, who was seven months pregnant at the time of the event, according to judicial sources.
The events occurred on September 25, 2020 in El Callao (Bolívar) where Terán lived with his partner Giannelly Pirongelli.
The subject hit the woman and tried to suffocate her, which led to her being transferred to a clinic in El Callao and referred to another health center in Upata where she and the child in her womb died.
That same September 25, Terán fled to Puerto La Cruz (Anzoátegui) where he was captured and handed over to the Public Ministry.
The criminal process against Terán took place in the 1st Trial Court specialized in Violence against Women, extension in Tumeremo, where on Wednesday night a sentence of 30 years in prison was issued, as requested by the Public Ministry.
