Desirée Masi, a national senator for the PDP, posted on her social networks that she was reading the draft of the accusatory libel against Sandra Quiñónez. The publication was made amid strong rumors of a possible dismissal of the current state attorney general.
“A team is working and finalizing details and others are talking to interested parliamentarians. I think there are many of us and we need the real support of everyone”, reads part of the publication.
Hugo Richer, national senator for the Guasu Front, expressed that a large part of the citizenry expects this change in the Public Ministry, since there are many criticisms, deficiencies and proven omissions.
“A long time ago we raised the need for a political trial against the attorney general. Although that begins in the Chamber of Deputies. For this reason, in the first place, it is necessary to see if things have changed in the Lower House”, he affirmed.
The legislator warns that the true plan of the ruling party must be analyzed if it decides to change Quiñónez.
“I don’t think they throw just to throw. Or they are going to put another who is functional to another sector of the Colorado Party. There the opposition will have to discuss a proposal in this regard because if we accept that only Quiñónez should go, but we do not discuss for his replacement, the country will be the one that loses, ”he said.
Finally, he urged the opposition not to get carried away by the Colorado Party’s roadmap.
“I do not trust these conflicts. This is not the first time they have fought. We have to stop following their roadmap because we will enter to play on their field where they always win, ”she concluded.
