The vice president of the Movement for Socialism, María Verdeal, indicated that after the registration period for the candidates for the opposition primaries has closed, we are facing the scenario that marks “the rapprochement between all democratic sectors without exclusion”.
The vice-president of the Movement for Socialism (MAS) María Verdeal, made a call to “lower two to the self-destruction of the opposition, to the permanent aggressions between democratic sectors and to the disqualifications.” She indicated that after the registration period of the candidates for the opposition primaries has closed, she is facing the stage that marks “the rapprochement between all democratic sectors without exclusion.”
“Our candidate is Venezuela with capital letters, which is why we are advocating and supporting the success of the primary elections,” he stressed. He expressed that the MAS is participating in all regions and “we are going to continue doing it because we believe that we play a better role for Venezuelan democracy in that understanding between all sectors.”

He added that his party welcomes the progress that is being made as a result of the process being carried out and that he hopes, “it will continue advancing and taking the necessary steps in these self-managed primaries so that this entire process can come to a successful conclusion.”
“Opposition leaders who believe in the need for understanding and agreements are respectable, but also those who are in the primary race where we hope tempers do not flare up, it is our call to reflection,” he said.
Faced with independent candidacies, he pointed out that it is a senseless phenomenon and the only thing these sectors do is strengthen those who remain in power as a minority, “in this case, the candidate for reelection that is Nicolás Maduro.”
