Economic reactivation, job creation and other problems facing the country are some of the priorities of various unions, particularly the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (Cciap).
The new president of this business association, Marcela Galindo de Obarrio, emphasized that we need the economic recovery to take place, “but we need it to permeate towards the recovery of jobs.”
“We are seeing that the confidence that is given for economic growth is not being the same that is being generated from the point of view of employment,” he stressed.
He added that for the Panamanian, being able to bring sustenance to his table, take care of his family, employment is essential, since for the person who does not have that economic security, other issues such as the importance of education take a back seat.
