The chief of staff will go to a chamber that has the characteristic of having extreme parity between the Front for All and Together for Change, with an ruling party that is obliged to always face negotiations in order to sanction the laws.

In this context, Manzur will also listen not only to criticism of his government but also to the complaint of legislators from the entire opposition arch to the delay in attending to provide their report, as expressed in various sessions by Legislators from Together for Change and the Federal Interbloc.

On this point, the President of the Federal interbloc, Alejandro “Topo” Rodríguez he said “the assistance of the Chief of Staff has taken too long. We hope that the answers to the requirements that we have formulated will be there.”

The Manzur’s presence was requested in the July 5 session by the radical Mario Negri and on that occasion the head of the ruling bloc, Germán Martínez, asked the then president of the chamber, Sergio Massa make arrangements with the National Government.

On July 27, the Chamber of Deputies reported that on Wednesday, August 31, Manzur would attend to “answer the 3,926 questions made by the deputies from all the blocks.”

On July 22, Manzur had sent a note to the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, where he expressed his willingness to attend in August to present the report on the progress of the Government to that legislative body, as established by the Constitution.

But, after Massa took over as economy minister on August 4, Manzur asked the new president of the Chamber of Deputies, Cecilia Moreaupostpone the visit until September 14.

Manzur attended the Senate on June 2, where he spoke about the economic management of the national government and in that framework he reiterated the commitment to recover the real value of wages in the face of price increases, assuring that inflation “is the main issue “that Argentina must attend to respond with precision”.

The report of the chief of staff to the chambers of Congress is an instance of accountability and dialogue between State powers, incorporated into the Constitution with the 1994 Reform, when the figure of the also called coordinating minister was created.
