The man identified as Daniel Guerrero “El ebanista” was killed by members of the National Police after being barricaded in a house for almost 7 hours.
The cabinetmaker killed at least two people and injured six police officers.
The incident occurred in the Guaymate alley, in the Villa Pereira sector, in La Romana. The aggressor was killed after 12:00 midnight after more than seven hours of confrontations with the agents.
Guerrero killed two people in the Guaymate alley of the aforementioned sector. He then barricaded himself in his home, where he held several people hostage, including minors.
According to witnesses, Guerrero killed the two individuals because they allegedly tried to rob him. After the fact, he barricaded himself in his house. Neighbors called the 9-1-1 Emergency System. But prior to the arrival of the 9-1-1 unit, police officers appeared at the scene, who tried to enter the residence. So El Ebanista reacted with shots.
