The Malpaso dance company returns to the stage of the emblematic Martí Theater, in the Historic Center of Havana, with a new proposal that will celebrate the nine years of life of this young collective.
After a long time away from the stage, due to the presence of Covid-19 in the country, the group will offer four premieres, by the famous Swedish choreographer Mats Ek, the Canadian choreographer Aszure Barton and the choreographers and dancers from the Daile Carrazana and Osnel Delgado company.
In collaboration with the Lyceum Mozartiano Orchestra of Havana, the program also has a version of Nutcracker, performed by Malpaso dancers, who are distinguished by their professionalism and defense of a unique style in the Cuban dance scene.
The works that make up this reunion of the Malpaso company with the public, expose contemporary dance from unequal positions, with common and distal points, each with its own language proposed by the creators, externalized in the corporalities of the dancers.
The performances will take place on December 17, 18 and 19 at the Martí Theater in Havana, a stage that will witness the talent and virtuosity of the dancers that make up one of the most sought-after Cuban dance companies with a growing international profile.
