Major Ariel Lizondro, of the National Police, shared information on the security provided by the Tourism Police to cruise ships that begin their season in Panama, revealing that to date there are no reported cases of theft or irregular situations.

He explained that the cruise season began on August 29, 2021, and to date a total of 50,638 tourists have been received on 87 cruises.

He explained that the units are organized before a cruise ship arrives, “we know places that they are going to visit to provide security. We have the information of what language they dominate to put a unit trained in languages. To date we have not maintained any case of robbery or robbery to tourists who visit us on cruise ships.
