Maduro remembers the 25 years of the Constitution with the election of justices of the peace

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent a message through his social media accounts to remember the 25 years of the approval of the National Constitution, a historic event that marked the legal bases for the consolidation of the Fifth Republic and the current Rule of Law and Justice.

The president indicated in his message: “25 years ago we took brave steps hand in hand with the great Leader Hugo Chávez Frías by approving the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, unique in the history of 200 years.

We left behind the old and putrid representative democracy, bandit, corrupt and rotten of the elites, we began a path of building the foundations of a new society and a new State.

Today, December 15, we are paying a historic debt and we are going to the election of Judges and Justices of the Peace to continue strengthening our participatory and leading democracy.

With the Constitution, everything, outside the Constitution, nothing! In the face of fascism’s attempts to violate it, we will continue to defend it firmly.”

In this way, the national leader highlighted the civic and democratic spirit of the Venezuelan people, who have celebrated their fourth electoral process in 2024.
