Maduro received credential letters from the new ambassador of Portugal

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received this Monday at the Miraflores Palace the credentials of the new Portuguese ambassador, Joao Pedro de Vascocelos Fin do Lago.

The European diplomat was received with honors at the Government headquarters and was accompanied by the Chancellor of the Republic, Carlos Faría, and then moved to the Sol del Perú Hall to be received by the president.

Vasconcelos Fin do Lago, who was born in Porto in 1965, has a degree in Law and has diplomas in advanced European administrative studies.

He has served as director of the International Economic Organizations Service of the National Directorate of Foreign Policy, as well as consul in Shanghai and Boston.

Venezuela and Portugal have signed agreements in technology, education, energy, food, infrastructure, health, telecommunications, in addition to the financial and commercial area.
