The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced Thursday in the transmission of the Maduro Live program suddenly, important advances in bilateral relations between Venezuela and China.
The Head of State commented on data on the meetings he held, from Beijing, the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, who interviewed with “authorities of the highest level of the Chinese government.”
He emphasized that the visit of the high official to the Asian giant, has allowed “to refine agreements in all subjects”, highlighting significant achievements in areas such as economy, trade and energy cooperation.
“There are impressive news of the achievements that this visit is already obtaining at the level of cooperation and trade agreements,” he said.
The president mentioned that advances are not limited only to the economic, but cover sectors such as tourism, health and artificial intelligence.
“We are advancing on many issues,” he said and indicated that these meetings are fundamental to deepen and accelerate the plans established in his meeting with the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, in September 2023.
During his words, he highlighted the importance of the Venezuela-China relationship, pointing out the “strategic association of these characteristics only with four countries of the world”, and the Venezuelan nation becomes the fifth country, being the only one in Latin America and the Caribbean with a “strategic association at all proof and all time.”
The tariff war against China is “unsustainable”
President Maduro commented on the global economic situation, in which a tariff war fired by the United States, has put in tension the main markets of the world.
In this regard, the Head of State highlighted the recent statements of senior US officials, who begin to reverse their policies when they see the lousy results he has left in the global economy and diplomatic relations.
“The United States Secretary of the Treasury declared that the commercial war against China is unsustainable. China is calm, we also. That is why it is important to build an economy that produces, replaces imports and generates your own income. We, with the formula of the 13 economic models, we are moving positively,” he reflected.
