Maduro: Artists “are fighting” to sing in Venezuela

The Venezuelan ruler Nicholas Maduro He assured this Monday, given the large number of musical events that have taken place during the last month in the country, that international artists “are fighting to come to Venezuela.”

These statements come after the Zulian merenguero Omar Enrique pointed out “being happy” at the number of international artists who “are waiting” to perform in Venezuela. “You see the international billboard and it’s impressive, I’m happy about that,” he said.

During a visit by Puerto Rican singer Maelo Ruiz, Maduro announced the International Salsa Festival, which will take place in June. “On June 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, the Caracas World Salsa Festival 2022, nothing else, I’m not taking you anything!” he expressed.

The president specified that the idea is to bring artists of the stature of Maelo, so that salsa can take over the Venezuelan capital.

Likewise, Maduro thanked the initiative and suggested using the spaces of the Poliedro de Caracas, the great center of entertainment in the city. “The Polyhedron is the great entertainment center, whoever has the Polyhedron does not have to go to Madison Square Garden,” he joked.

For his part, Maelo Ruiz, recounted some of the experiences lived during the concerts given in the country. “I believe that Venezuela has given me a lot, I am grateful to this beautiful country, I always have beautiful memories of this country,” said Ruiz.

He added that a concert is being organized for the month of June that is expected to be at the Poliedro de Caracas with the presence of other legends of salsa music.
