Maduro announced agreements in tourism, agriculture and finance with Turkey

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that the country had signed agreements on tourism, agriculture and finance with Turkey.

At a press conference from Ankara, where he is visiting, and together with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Maduro explained that agreements were reached on tourism, agriculture and financial-monetary matters.

The president pointed out that these agreements are added to another 54 agreements that both nations have already signed within their “wide map of cooperation”, which are under development.

Maduro, who said that the alliance between Venezuela and Turkey “is for peace,” indicated that “things are going well.”

He assured the businessmen and the Turkish president that “it is time for Turkish investors in Venezuela, so that they arrive in tourism, in mining, in industry, in logistics, in banking, in oil, in gas, in gold, in coal.

In this sense, he indicated that the country will offer Turkish businessmen all legal, legal, political and economic guarantees.

economic forecasts

Maduro stressed that the economic forecasts for Venezuela in 2022 are very positive, with growth projections “above two digits.”

“There are different very positive forecasts, and there is growth in trade, in the productive economy,” he emphasized.

“Venezuela has done like the phoenix, it has risen from the ashes and the people of Turkey and you, president, can be sure that in Venezuela you have loyal, firm, hard-working and safe friends,” he said.

In his opinion, the visit to Turkey was “a complete success, both for its content and for its climate of friendship and closeness.”

The head of state, who invited his Turkish counterpart to visit Caracas, thanked him for the help provided during the covid-19 pandemic.

“The exemplary character of the friendship between Turkey and Venezuela was demonstrated, once again.”

“Turkey was always there by our side to support us in all the necessary processes for health and to overcome the pandemic, as we have managed to face it,” he said.

Turkey’s role in the world

President Maduro also manifested the preponderance of Turkey on the world map.

“In world geopolitics, Turkey already occupies an important role […] It is a very important country for the things that are happening in the world, which already plays a role of great political and diplomatic influence on a global scale,” he emphasized.
