The Eastern European country has suffered for just over a year with a Russian military invasion, in a war that counts thousands of dead and millions of refugees. “I just had a video meeting with the president of Ukraine, Zelensky. I reaffirmed Brazil’s desire to talk to other countries and participate in any initiative around the construction of peace and dialogue. War cannot interest anyone,” he wrote. the Brazilian leader.

Lula has proposed to other foreign leaders to creation of a group of countries to engage in mediation to end the war in Ukraine.
