Senator Jorge Querey reported last night that Efraín Alegre did not comply with signing agreements or giving guarantees to the Guasu Front, even after Fernando Lugo’s illness, therefore, his support for Euclides Acevedo is reaffirmed.
After the return of the former president of Fernando Lugo to Paraguay, the family doctor, Jorge Quereyreported that the patient will now begin a recovery process at home, with medical monitoring.
Later, already At night, legislator Querey launched a forceful message on his official Twitter account, giving an overview of the general elections on April 30.
“Mr. Alegre did not comply with signing agreements, nor granting the guarantee of integrating the sheet with the Guasu Front. Due to these breaches, after the onset of the FL disease we withdrew and we are with #EuclidesQuerey”, wrote the legislator.

When the Concertación table began, among all the opposition parties, Fernando Lugo gave his support for the PLRA to integrate a sheet with someone from the Guasu Front, who at that time was Senator Esperanza Martínez. Subsequently, The ex-bishop suffered a stroke and while he was sick and unconscious, Alegre decided to get the Guasu Front out of the plate, choosing Soledad Núñez.
Alegre served as Minister of Public Works during the Lugo administration, but was dismissed for irregularities in his management. The audit of the Executive of the ex-bishop’s administration revealed a nail of 37 million dollars in the MOPC.
Almost a year later, the PLRA, the party that brought Lugo to power and vice versaa, voted for the conviction of the leader of the Guasu Frontat a time when the alliance was full of divisions and cracks, that ended up removing the president from power, to give way to the liberal Federico Franco.
