List of ‘Tata’ Martino destined for the World Cup in Qatar

The return of Diego Lainez, Real Betis, and Gerardo Arteaga, from Belgian Genk, are the novelties on the list of the Mexican team to face Jamaica, Costa Rica and Panama in the World Cup qualifiers for the Concacaf.

The Argentinian Gerard ‘Tata’ Martino, coach of Mexico, revealed this Thursday the call for the three games in which the ‘Tri’ will seek to get closer to securing their pass to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Lainez has not played a game with Mexico since the friendly duel against Panama last June 30 and Arteaga hasn’t done so since the June 12 match against Honduras.

In addition to these footballers, among those chosen by Martino stand out LaLiga players such as Orbelín Pineda and Néstor Araujo, from Celta de Vigo; Jesus Corona, from Seville; Andres Guardado, from Betis; Hector Herrera of Atletico Madrid.

Mexico will visit Jamaica on January 27 and will host Costa Rica on January 30 and Panama on February 2 at the Azteca stadium. The concentration will begin this Saturday in Mexico City.
