Santo Domingo.- The former Dominican ruler and president of the Fuerza del Pueblo party, Leonel Fernandezreiterated this Sunday his criticism of the incompetence of the current government headed by Luis Abinader, to respond to the demands of the Dominicans, despite having administered more than 500 billion pesos and having contracted debts of more than 23 billion dollars. in 17 months of his administration.
Fernandez He spoke during a massive act of closing his organization’s activities in 2022 in the northern city of Santiago where, in addition to giving detailed explanations about the growth of the party throughout the country and abroad, especially in Santiago, he made a tour of significant works , built during their governments.
He explained that these works have marked the development in several provinces of the country, responding to requests from different population groups, emphasizing that: “We fulfill what we promise.”
“In Santiago he has made many promises and not a single work,” stressed Leonel Fernández, who was president three times (1996-2000. 2004-2012), referring to the stage, where more than 10 militants, members and FP leaders, to other problems, such as the increase in crime and the high cost of living.

In his speech, Fernández expressed hope that FP can redirect the destinies of the nation on better paths, highlighting that for this reason, “people swear in masses, as a result, the People’s Force is the only rising force in the Dominican Republic”.
The massive act, held at the Arena del Cibao, put an end to the activities of the year and was a forceful response to those who have wanted to reduce the participation of this organization on the political scene, according to what Fernández made known, after swearing in important political cadres. from other organizations, including the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
“Despite all the infamy and slander, we knew that the Dominican people would respond to the People’s Force,” said Fernández, adding that this organization has a presence, not only in the Dominican Republic, but in all those countries where Dominicans reside.
