After having voted in favor of their first strike due to the non-adjustment of salaries by the company, the Latam Pilots’ Union (SPL) warned “if there is no agreement this Wednesday, the strike begins this Thursday.”

Along these lines, they pointed out that the latest proposal “does not come close to the goal of workers to recover the working conditions they had before the pandemic, when the company fired 240 pilots and reduced wages by 30%.”
“Next year the company forecasts an Ebitda of US$2,003 million and by 2026, an accumulated amount of US$10,166 million. Clearly, we pilots made a great effort to help the company and today it is only right that there be a turn of hands”, they pointed.
