In a statement, the single union of mining workers pointed out that these profits have been waiting for it since the beginning of the operational phase of Las Bambas (2016), however, the company has been taking advantage of permissive benefits granted by the State, hurting workers’ profit sharing for almost six years.
“Our employer has made this payment for the first time, however, the amounts paid do not meet expectations. We reject this refusal of the company despite having been benefiting from the non-payment of utilities to workers since 2016″, they indicated.
