Lara Rapid Reaction Unit fights in the border axes

Military personnel belonging to the Rapid Reaction Unit (URRA) attached to the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone Number 13 (ZODI Lara), based in the state of Lara (Barquisimeto), “progress progressively and systematically for territorial cleansing”, stated the operational chief, G/D Rafael David Prieto Martínez.

Patrol work is being carried out on the border axes of Zulia (Maracaibo) and Apure (San Fernando de Apure) in a special way.

Prieto Martínez then explained that in recent weeks, they have stood out for their “effective and satisfactory” deployment, “dealing a heavy blow to all criminal structures”, likewise, he recognized the firmness in combating the Colombian Narcotrafficking Assassin Terrorist groups (TANCOL ).

He stressed that each contingent of combatants has shown its contribution, “with the noble mission of keeping the sacred homeland free of criminals.”

He made it clear to the public that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), with such actions they execute the operations orders foreseen in the strategic plans “Bolivarian Shield 2022”, in the federal entities of Apure (San Fernando de Apure), Zulia (Maracaibo) and, of course, in Larense land, from where the Creole military, contribute to the national deployment.

Prieto Martínez, commander of the ZODI Lara, stressed: “We comply with the instructions of the Constitutional President and Commander-in-Chief of the FANB, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the Operational Strategic Commander, G/J. Sunday Antonio Hernandez Larez.

Describing that the combatants assigned to the different territorial units stationed in the Larense entity, carry out “patrol and scrutiny work to locate drug-terrorist groups that intend to undermine the peace of the Venezuelan people.”

Such operations are complemented, “with the search, recognition and location of industrial and artisanal explosive devices installed in the different trails, in order to attack the troops that carry out operational control tasks in the border area,” revealed Prieto Martínez.

Since January of this year, military personnel belonging to the Lara Rapid Reaction Unit (URRA) have been delegated for “territorial cleansing” actions in Apure state, and they are relieved every forty days.

Recognition to the military

The military combat action, at present, Prieto Martínez insisted, “progress progressively and systematically for territorial cleansing” in the different quadrants established in the aforementioned entities.

As a result, the expulsion of the Tancols has been achieved, who according to the Larense military chief, “surreptitiously, infiltrate the territory, with terrorist purposes,” he pointed out in an institutional note.

He also referred to “the patriotism and temperance” of the troops belonging to the Units known by their acronym URRA, “who with maximum discipline and determination gallantly defend the sovereignty of the homeland of Bolívar and Chávez, to achieve victory in unity of hand in hand with the people,” added Prieto Martínez.

It is to be noted that the soldiers assigned to special operations, upon their return to each component, are recognized with the delivery of the “URRA combat” coin that certifies them as “Heroes of Apure”, stimulating their dedication to work. developed in defense of the sovereignty and independence of the country.

At noon this Thursday, May 19, an action by the FANB was announced against the Tancols, in the Zulia region, where they managed to dismantle a camp dedicated to the production of narcotics.
