Lacalle Pou met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi

The President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, is in the United Arab Emirates (USA) to hold a series of encounters and meetings in the framework of the presentation of the Uruguayan pavilion at a major international fair that takes place in Abu Dhabi.

On this trip, he was received this Sunday by the US Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, with whom he discussed issues of bilateral interest and regional and global affairs.

According to the state news agency of that country, the sheikh was in favor of developing commercial and economic exchanges with Latin American countries, and in particular with Uruguay after Lacalle Pou’s visit.

For his part, the Uruguayan president said that his administration wants to promote economic relations and investment with the United States. He specifically spoke about food security and investment in technology.

Uruguay in Dubai

The Dubai Expo, which has stands from more than 200 countries, organizations and world-renowned educational institutions in its corridors, has a pavilion dedicated to Uruguay, in which the country offers a sample of its entire arsenal of commercial and tourist attractions.

The little country it advertises itself as a strategic business center in the South American region, and as a point of reference in the development of smart agriculture, clean energy and technological poles.

This Monday is Uruguay Day at the expo pavilion: dances will be held with part of the Sodre cast and the event culminates with a speech by Lacalle Pou in front of businessmen and Emirati authorities.
