The President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, issued a short greeting to the president-elect of Chile, Gabriel Boric, who with about 100% of the polls scrutinized on Sunday night beat the far-right candidate, José Antonio Kast, by a difference of 55.73% against 44.27%.
“I congratulate the elected president of Chile, @gabrielboric and wish him success for the good of the Chilean people,” was Lacalle Pou’s message on Twitter posted at 7:34 pm
