The National Association of Clinical Laboratory Assistants and the authorities of the Social Security Fund (CSS) made progress on some points of the negotiations, although the work stoppage continues.

Edwin Salamín, general secretary of the CSS, highlighted that of the seven points raised by the workers, an agreement was reached on four of them.

He explained that one of these points is related to the salary adjustment, which was sustained before the board of directors of the CSS. It was reported that this Monday afternoon, this instance approved the adjustment proposal.

Luis Bonilla, of the leadership of the laboratoristas, said that a report will be presented to the bases of the union on the meetings with the authorities and that possibly if the will is maintained in the negotiations the strike can be lifted.
