The vaccination of children under 17 years of age in the country was authorized in October 2021. In this month, the Government authorized the application of the doses to young people between 16 and 17 years of age. In November the group was expanded to include those between 12 and 15 years old. Finally, in December of last year, immunization was extended to children between the ages of five and 11.
In the first half of 2021, the La Paz commune moved vaccination points to different areas of the city and fixed posts in the five municipal hospitals to initially vaccinate 16 and 17-year-olds, then adolescents and children. This action and immunization plan was carried out in accordance with the expansion and authorizations of the Government.
