Kicillof received the Buenos Aires mayors of the PRO

The mayors of La Plata, Tres de Febrero, General Pueyrredón and Junín participated in the meeting with Kicillof.

The governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, received this Thursday a group of mayors from the PRO, with whom he discussed the programs that the province articulates with the municipalities, as a continuation of a similar one that he held on Wednesday with communal heads of the Union Radical Civic (UCR).

From this Thursday’s meeting The mayors of La Plata, Julio Garro; of Three of February, Diego Valenzuela; of General Pueyrredón, Guillermo Montenegro; and from Junín, Pablo Petrecca.

In a statement, it was stated that Also present were the Minister of Government, Cristina Álvarez Rodríguez; the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Pablo López; and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Juan Pablo de Jesús.

As officially reported, the meeting took place in “the framework of permanent coordinated work mechanisms that were strengthened to deal with the pandemic.”

“The main objective is to guarantee the continuity of the historic infrastructure plan carried out by the Province in all municipalities in school, road, health and prison matters,” Kicillof said. and added: “The economy is growing and we are showing concrete results: there has never been such an ambitious plan in terms of infrastructure as the one we are carrying out.”

The Buenos Aires government stressed that “in order to sustain the works plan without any type of delay, among other programs that are being carried out in the districts, the automatic resources received by the municipalities during the first 6 months of 2022 grew by 67% compared to the last 6 months of 2021, which represents 6.3% above year-on-year inflation; while the collection of the municipalities was 3.8% above the variation in prices”.

During the meeting, aspects related to the strengthening of the Municipal Infrastructure Fund (FIM); the comprehensive security plan; and the programs that the Province articulates together with the municipalities to support employment and production.

On Wednesday, Kicillof received the radical mayors of Saladillo, José Luis Salomón; from Trenque Lauquen, Miguel Ángel Fernández; from Suipacha, Alejandro Federico; and de Rauch, Maximiliano Suescun to address aspects related to production, the works promoted through the Municipal Infrastructure Fund, the Escuelas a la Obra program and the rural roads plan.

They also discussed other infrastructure projects that the province has in execution in the municipalities, the credit to support economic activity, the strengthening of the health system and the follow-up of the comprehensive security plan.

In that framework, Kicillof assured on Wednesday that he will work “to sustain the historic public works plan that we are carrying out in the 135 districts.”
