Keep in mind: these are the roads that flood the most in Bogotá

The rains do not stop in Bogotá and to the emergencies that have occurred in different parts of the city, mobility problems are added.

Some of the localities that have registered the most inconveniences are Usme, Rafael Uribe Uribe and Chapinero.

Specifically on the subject of mobility, ponding on the roads, in addition to representing a risk for drivers, significantly affect traffic, so the city’s emergency units must respond quickly.

So why are these floods generated on the roads? and are there some runners more likely to suffer from this problem? According to the Bogota Aqueduct and Sewer Company (EAAB), There are several factors that influence this phenomenon.

One of them is related to the same state of the road, since the hollows and sinkholes, as well as unpaved streets in some neighborhoods, they generate dragging material and are prone to puddling.

Other important factors are the dumping of garbage (which affects the normal functioning of the city drainage) and improper handling of debris and construction waste, which can cause clogging of drains and storm sewer networks.

The EAAB has identified 12 hotspots in the city that are most prone to this problem. These are:

1. 9th Avenue – NQS, between 106 and 112 streets.

2. The race 10 with street 6.
