At the national level, for every thousand inhabitants there are 27 cases of corruption in process, as revealed by the Ombudsman’s Office in the V Edition of its maps of corruption and, the Junín region, It is among the four regions with the highest number of cases of corruption in process with a total of 1664 cases. What is worse, the Anti-Corruption Commission is qualified as deficient.

The crimes recorded with the highest incidence are: embezzlement with 34% of the total (9,297 of 27,275), collusion with 21% (5,696) and bribery with 12% (3,226). 80% of the cases registered for corruption are in fiscal investigation, either in preliminary or preparatory investigation (21,721 of 27,275), this at the national level
According to the aforementioned report, in 19 of 25 regions of the country, the district municipalities were the most affected entities. Junín is no exception, since 30% (493 of 1,664) of the registered cases include the district municipalities as the most affected entities.
The perception of corruption is high in the region, since 67% of the population sees corruption as a problem that affects us. The report also indicates that 4% of those surveyed in Junín who carried out some procedure in the PNP, affirm that they were victims of corruption.

In 30% (496) of the total cases, the crime of collusion occurs with a higher incidence. And it is that, 38 of 58 emblematic cases of the region are related to public works. Some 32 of 58 emblematic cases are under fiscal investigation (preliminary and preparatory investigation).
In 15 regions, citizens most frequently point to the GORE as the entities they do not trust at all. According to the diagnosis of the Regional Anticorruption Commissions, with a result of 30%, the CRA Junín has a poor condition to operate.
